Residents’ Input Needed For Five-Year Community Development Plan

2015-02-25_14-11-04Mayor Jimmy Davis invited all Bayonne residents to participate in a survey on Community Development issues on the municipal website,

The City of Bayonne is in the process of preparing a Five-Year Consolidated Plan for Community Development program years 2015-2019. These documents are required by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to distribute funds for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and other federal programs. The Plan will describe the City’s housing and community development needs, strategies, and priorities. These documents affect neighborhoods and organizations across the community. Input from residents, city agencies, and service organizations is vital to identifying needs and allocating resources. For this reason, the City of Bayonne is asking individuals to complete this brief online survey as part of the planning process. You may respond from your home computer, or use a computer at the public library, a church, or a civic center. This will help the Community Development Office gather as much input as possible. It is important for the program to receive public input, in order to prepare a complete and accurate plan that reflects our City’s needs and priorities.

The results of the survey will be available for public review and comment and discussed at public hearings in March and April of 2015.

Please go to the link below and complete the survey in either English or Spanish. The survey should take about five minutes to complete. Please check for updates and information.

If you have any questions, concerns, or comments about the survey, please contact Ms. Samantha Howard, Community Development Manager, at 201-858-6120 or at The survey is available at and
