via JerseyDigs – Bayonne appears to be a city on the rise with a myriad of projects planned and under construction, so it’s only natural that a few new eateries would be on the horizon to serve residents new and old.
One of the latest spots to open along the city’s main street is Refinery Tavern. The bar, which has taken up residence at the former Pair of Jacks Pub space at 812 Broadway, started serving drinks out of their front room on March 18th, just in time for Bayonne’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The 80-year old building’s ground floor was renovated into a modern space, but an effort was made to preserve the older look with the clean approach.
But owner George and his team, not content to be just a bar, have been hard at work putting the finishing touches on the tavern’s full kitchen and Break Room, which will feature an open concept that gives patrons a peek at what the chefs are up to. The space will also have formal tables for diners, a separate sound system, and another six TVs that will come in handy during big sports weekends.
