Mother's Day Text to Donate

The Cure Breast Cancer Foundation (CBCF) is providing yet another easy way to Think Pink this Mother’s Day with the launch of a text-to-donate campaign that will raise important funds and advance innovative research that could dramatically change the treatment for breast cancer in the years to come.

Starting on Wednesday, May 9th, 2018, CBCF will accept mobile donations in a “Text for a Cure” initiative throughout Mother’s Day weekend.  To participate in the campaign and donate via phone, simply text the code: DONATE to (973) 828-0883 and follow the link to indicate the amount you’d like to contribute to the Clifton, N.J.-based not-for-profit 501(c) 3 charity.

All monies raised during the weekend will support trailblazing breast cancer research being conducted under the direction of noted oncologist, Dr. Larry Norton, at the world-renowned Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and other national and international research facilities.   Since its inception in December 2007, CBCF has raised over $7 million for breast cancer research, which has been devoted entirely to Dr. Larry Norton’s and his colleagues’ research on the growth and spreading of breast cancer cells known as the Self-Seeding Theory. This research focuses on improving the understanding of not only breast cancer, but also other cancers.

CBCF to Host 10th Annual Golf Classic

The Cure Breast Cancer Foundation (CBCF) will host its 10th Annual Golf Classic on Monday, August 7th at the Mountain Ridge Country Club in West Caldwell, N.J., site of the USGA 2012 Men’s Senior Amateur Championship, the 2014 MGA Mid-Amateur Championship and has been one of Golf Week’s “Top 100 Classic Courses in America.”

2017 Gold OutingThe annual “Pink is the New Green®” event is one of the most popular and successful events sponsored by CBCF having raised millions to assist the efforts of the Foundation’s Scientific Advisor, Dr. Larry Norton.  Dr. Norton, Deputy Physician-in-Chief for Breast Cancer Programs and the Medical Director of the Evelyn H. Lauder Breast Center at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, is leading the fight against breast cancer with trailblazing work, and has discovered that cancer cell mobility and the interactions between the cancer cell and its microscopic environment are the key pathways to understanding and eventually eradicating breast cancer.

Reservations are now open for both the morning and afternoon sessions of The Golf Classic.  The morning session will begin at 7:00 a.m. with registration and breakfast, followed by a shotgun start at 8:15 a.m.  The afternoon session will begin at 10:30 a.m. with registration and breakfast and a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start.  An $18,000 winner-take-all-chip-off will take place immediately following conclusion of play.  Continue reading →

CBCF’s 8th Annual Golf Classic to Tee Off June 22nd at Mountain Ridge Country Club

2015-05-01_14-35-28The 8th annual Cure Breast Cancer Foundation’s Golf Classic is set to take place on Monday, June 22nd at the Mountain Ridge Country Club, site of the USGA 2012 Men’s Senior Amateur Championship, the 2014 MGA Mid-Amateur Championship and one of Golf Week’s “Top 100 Classic Courses in America.”

The daylong event – which is one of the most successful fundraising efforts sponsored by CBCF throughout the year– will tee off with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. at the West Caldwell golf course.  Registration and breakfast will begin at 10 a.m.  A $1 Million Hole-In-One Shootout and raffle drawing for a 2015 Ford Mustang convertible will also take place.

The festivities will conclude with a dinner reception where Dr. Larry Norton, the Foundation’s Scientific Advisor, will address guests.  CBCF’s fundraising efforts support breast cancer research efforts under the direction of Dr. Norton, who is the Deputy Physician-in-Chief for Breast Cancer Programs and the Medical Director of the Evelyn H. Lauder Breast Center at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, at Sloan-Kettering and other national and international research facilities.

“The Golf Classic is our most popular event and has been the centerpiece of our fundraising campaign,” says Andrew Abramson, Treasurer and Co-Founder of CBCF, which is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization.  “Every year the total raised grows and allows us to advance the important work of Dr. Norton and his colleagues.  We are incredibly grateful to all the participants and sponsors who show their support for our efforts during a fun-filled day at one of New Jersey’s premier golf facilities.”
