According by http://nj.com former Jersey City mayoral candidate Lewis Spears is preparing for Kismet of King’s Spring Gala on Friday, May 3, an event that will be hosted by actor Tobias Truvillion (“Empire,” “One Life to Live”) to the theme of “Elevate and Excel” at The View, 201 Lincoln Park, the former Casino in the Park.

It’s an opportunity for fundraising and to celebrate the participants in an afterschool program that provides mentorship, life skills and entrepreneurial training to Black and Brown students, from 11 to 18 years old, who often come from underserved neighborhoods.
