NJCU hosts Ecuadorian president

Accordig to http://nj.com New Jersey City University (NJCU) served as the host for a community visit when Daniel Noboa, the newly-elected president of the Republic of Ecuador, held an official gathering with more than 400 invited members of the Ecuadorian immigrant community who reside in Hudson County. The community encounter was held in early March at NJCU’s Gilligan Student Union.

Noboa is the first Latin American president to visit New Jersey City University. He was elected in October 2023, and took office in November, thus becoming the youngest president in the country’s history. He stopped at NJCU during his first official state visit to the United States.
